I am lucky enough to have a domestic goddess boyfriend! Since moving to NZ we have been getting into doing looks of baking in our first little flat together (living the wild life). Charlie made a GORGEOUS strawberry pie the other day, which I have spent the last couple of days happily consuming.
If you think this looks as delicious as I did, here is the recipe we used:
To make the short-crust pastry we used this recipe. However, instead of using salt as the recipe suggests we instead added 1 tbs of caster sugar. (This alternative recipe is listed on the notes for the recipe)
For the filling we used this recipe. However we changed the cherries for tinned strawberries.
